Postmodernism – Late 20th Century

  1. Ambiguos and hard to define
  2. Era – Global Communications, Mass media, Driven by technology
  3. Aesthetic – Style over substance
  4. Theory – Way of thinking, looking at the world – Perspective (individual), Subjectively

Postmodernism is an ambiguous subject that is very hard to define but ultimately it is how people look at the world in their perspective or a subjective view point. This is because they are part of a world and Era that is mass media dominated which is driven by technology and global communications. The basis that postmodernism is wrote on is that it is all about style over substance, this is when the way that the information within the media text is portrayed is more important to the creator than the actual content of the media text.
